A fine all-round display by Adita Adey means Muckamore have still a chance of making the semi-finals after they beat CSNI in their rearranged Lagan Valley Steels T20 clash at Stormont.
Adey hit two sixes in a breezy 37, which coupled with a fine half-century for Fahad Iqbal helped Muckamore to 150 for 6.
Skipper Neil Gill (19*) and Steve Lazars (18) also added late impetus with quick runs in a total that would offer a serious challenge.
Andre Malan took three wickets and also top scored with 59, but CSNI fell 13 short on 137 for 5, as their innings lost its way after a strong start.
Adey had the excellent analysis of 2 for 14, while Gill and Karthik also kept it tight as the game hung in the balance.
The sides meet again this week, in a game which will see the losers eliminated, while the victors will still have a chance to overhaul Instonians and join North Down in the semi-finals.
